Despite originally claiming to having been 15 years old at the time of her encounter with Savile this age was rapidly revised downwards for the ITV interview that would be broadcast less than 24 hours later.
Lucy Manning: “Dee, can you tell me what happened to you with Jim?”Dee Coles: “I think it was just before I was 15, so I was 14.”
From this point on the media would present Coles as a “14 year old victim of Savile”.
Barring the odd hiccup Coles would play the role with enthusiasm.
Dee Coles was not 14 years old when she met Jimmy Savile.
